Privacy Policy for GuardianTube

GuardianTube (“the Extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data in compliance with Chrome Web Store policies and global regulations (e.g., GDPR, COPPA).


1. Data Collection

The Extension does not:

  • Collect, store, or share personal information (e.g., names, emails, IP addresses).
  • Track browsing activity outside of YouTube.
  • Sell data to third parties.

Data Stored Locally:

  • Parental PIN (hashed and encrypted).
  • User-defined settings (e.g., blocked keywords, time schedules).
  • This data remains on your device and is never transmitted externally.
